look at your golf game and see where you struggle and practice that. if it’s putting practice putting. if it’s driving practice driving. if driving is the problem you can go to the driving range and aim at the flags for accuracy. and so on. good luck!! :)

Practice practice practice. Playing the game regularly is not good enough, you need to devote time to the range and the putting green. I played every few weeks for several years and the result was always the same until I started practicing. I spent one summer going to the range about five times a week along with playing about three rounds a week and I went from hitting three digits to just short of breaking 80 (81 or 82 was my best round). Since then I have not practiced much at all and I have been hitting in the low 90′s. I know that if I become disciplined again I will be back on track to break 80. Also, as you are fifty, your age should not be a consideration; you can likely improve until you reach your seventies if not longer. My uncle is 85 now and only started losing his game a few years ago. Just goes to show you it is not to late to get better.

Practice but you have to work on something when you practice. Don’t practice hitting the ball bad. Go to Improve your game section. You can find information on everything from mental game, driving and everything else. Pick out a part of your game that is giving you trouble Research it and practice it.

The best way to lower your handicap is to first, find a home course, a course that you would play at most often and one that you’d get to know like the back of your hand. Secondly, time on the range and on and around the greens would benefit you greatly. Whatever the outcome of your efforts are, just make sure your enjoying the game.
