Golf is played on a special area called a Golf Course, each of which features a unique design, although courses typically consist of either nine or 18 holes. Courses can be private or public. Golf is one of the few ball games that do not require a standardized playing area. Players should not assume that the course is in shape to play at all times. Players may be embarrassed if they find the course temporarily under repair.
Playing golf you have to account for wind direction, golf course set-up, the pace of the greens, the lie you have in the fairway, how much mud is on your ball, the stance you're taking, the angle to the flag, break, sand, water, noise, and most of all, nerves. Golf is an equal game because of the handicap system.

Golf is a game of going forward. You must constantly learn, reach, challenge and compete in order to be successful at the highest level. Golfers need to realize the physical aspect of the golf swing. To produce power, club head speed and distance, your golf muscles need to be both strong and flexible specific to your swing. Golfers play with injuries including lower back, hips, wrists, elbows, shoulders and even knees most of the time. I thought golf was a leisure game? Golf practice can only help your game if your body is able to do what you ask of it on the range. How often have you taken time out of your day to go to the range only to leave more frustrated than when you first got there?

Why are the Only Good Looking Golf Shoes So Expensive?

Probably no real answers... just seeing what you guys think. I can find a pair of great looking retro New Balances or a reasonably priced pair of Adidas to wear everyday but when it comes to golf shoes I'm stuck with saddles until I hit the $85+ range. I'd rather spend the extra money on green fees but I still want to look good, head to toe.

How Often Should I Replace the Spikes of my Golf Shoes?

I was looking at my golf shoes the other night and noticed that a lot of the spikes towards the toes of my shoes were broken off. I have the Softspikes Pulsar Fast twist spikes currently in my shoes. If the front spikes break, should I replace all the spikes or just rotate the ones from the back to the front and continue that process? How often are new spikes recommended?

Can Someone Help with Cleaning Golf Shoes?

My 15 year old has some all leather Foot Joy golf shoes that he has worn for about a year. He is starting to grow out of them, but has a few good months before that day comes. Does anyone know of a good way to clean them? Can I throw them in the wash, since they are going to be gone in a few months anyway (too used to donate, I promise, although I'll try)? He's growing like a weed but can get a good few rounds in before he needs the next pair. The smell is just killing us... any suggestions? The shoe spray is beyond our help at this point. Yes, I know, new shoes. But he golfs every other day and every weekend, rain or shine. We were planning on buying him new ones for a gift when/if he makes the high school team, so trying to wait (we will buy him new ones when he can no longer use these, but thought it would be a nice thing as a gift if he does). You probably didn't need the story behind why I need these clean shoes. Sorry. Thanks so much for any help!
